Famous Last Words
If there’s one thing I know about introducing something new, it’s if you say it won’t happen, it probably will. One of the local companies here, Lockheed Martin, was showing off their version of the Humvee, a JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle). Their second mistake was letting someone who wasn’t trained to drive it behind the wheel. They ended up letting a local news reporter behind the wheel of this tank, and guess what happens.
Here’s a link to the video from the news station the guy who wrecked the vehicle works for: VIDEO.
Now I realize this thing had 50,000 run-time hours on it, but if I had that much money invested in something I was hoping to sell to the military, I sure as hell wouldn’t have let a civilian behind the wheel.
