Oh, Come ON!

I’ve all ready posted about the lack of original ideas coming out of Hollywood. Making a movie based on video games is right along the same lines, but at least, for the most part, they’ve chosen good video games to base movies on. Resident Evil is the first that comes to mind (mainly because I’m hopelessly addicted to those movies and Mila Jovovich), along with Tomb Raider, Hitman, and the first Mortal Kombat. There have also been a few really crappy movies made based on video games – Street Fighter, Super Mario Brothers, Double Dragon, etc. We can add one more to the list – Asteroids. Yes, THAT Asteroids. I can;t imagine the story line here. A ship spins in circles and shoots asteroids as they fly towards it. Yeah, that’ll make for a good 90 minutes of film. They’re basically gonna have to come up with an original story for it, because the game itself can’t lend much. Check out the video below after the links.
