HOLY SH*T!!!
One of the things I miss most about time with my dad is watching NASCAR races with him. Every Sunday afternoon, we’d sit down and watch the race at his house, poke fun at each other when their favorite driver wrecked or screwed up, and just enjoy the race. While it’s not the same as when my old man was alive, I still enjoy watching a race now and then. I watched most of today’s Aaron’s 499 from Talladega, and it was a damn good race. The “big one” that happens every year didn’t take long, as 14 cars wrecked on lap 7. There was another bad wreck later in the race, but the most exciting wreck of the day came on the last lap as rookie Brad Keselowski tried to pass Carl Edwards for the win. Keselowski faked high, and when Edwards went up to block, Keselowski dipped back low. Unfortunately for Edwards, when he went low to block, Keselowski was all ready there and Edward spun out. What happened next was one of the most awesome wrecks I’ve seen while watching a race. I love the way Edwards finishes the race on foot. Thankfully everyone was all right. Enjoy the video, and check out the links after.
